24 Certate SW key features:

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

Low inertia is the key. The newly developed AIRDRIVE ROTOR is made from ZAION. Maintaining the strength of the rotor, DAIWA has been able to reduce the weight significantly. Designed with focus to create a perfectly round structure, trouble free and flawless rotation have been achieved. The rotor unit itself has seen a 16% weight reduction compared to the previous model (Based on 2500 size reel) and will set the standard for what future rotor design of small spinning reels will be.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

AIRDRIVE BAIL

Trouble free future. DAIWA has constructed a bail smaller in diameter whilst providing required strength to achieve a further weight reduction to the front unit. In comparison to 18 EXIST, AIRDRIVE BAIL reduces the weight of the bail by 33% (compared to 2500 size). DAIWA has adjusted the angle of bail setting to improve the line movement into the roller. Careful attention was given to the roller and slider and individual design alterations were done for each size of 22 EXIST, perfectly adjusting the line management for each size of the reel.

AIRDRIVE SHAFT

AIRDRIVE SHAFT

Friction free rotation. AIRDRIVE SHAFT has a non contact structure between the mainshaft and the pinion gear. In addition to this, both ends of pinion gear are now supported with bearings to relay the crank power from the handle to the rotor with a higher level of efficiency. By adding high quality collars to the mainshaft, rotational noise has been reduced significantly. AIRDRIVE SHAFT creates the feel of smooth, quiet rotation and provides anglers with torque and power.

MONOCOQUE BODY

MONOCOQUE BODY

This design incorporates a one-piece frame and a one-piece threaded side plate. Because screws are not necessary to attach the side plate and hold the main gear, the interior space in the body is greater allowing for a larger more powerful gear held in place by the lighter, sturdier body rather than the traditional side plate.

CRBB

CRBB

Shielded for extra protection. Unlike ordinary "corrosion resistant" bearings with un unprotected open race, DAIWA's CRBB ball bearings are shielded to seal out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives for even longer life. CRBB ball bearings feature an 12 times higher corrosion resistance than usual ball bearings.

MAGSEALED

MAGSEALED

DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a wall of magnetic oil in the gap between the body and rotor, blocking out seawater, dust, and other elements.

 ZAION

ZAION

The progenitor of these construction technologies, developed by Daiwa to obtain structures with performances similar to those of metals, at a lower cost because they do not require anti-corrosion treatments. The characteristics of this material are simply stunning: for the same volume it weighs 50% of aluminum and its structural rigidity approaches that of magnesium.

ATD TOUGH

ATD TOUGH

The ATD Tough uses carbon washers to achieve high durability. It pursues smooth start and tracking, allowing you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about the drag setting.

LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)

LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)

Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS Spool design has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape. LC-ABS Spool design grants anglers a premium casting experience.

Stopperless body

Stopperless body

The body structure has been simplified by removing the stopper. The decision to remove the stopper, which is a route for water and foreign objects to enter, not only reduces weight and improves waterproof performance, but also minimizes the risk of sudden trouble when fishing in harsh environments or with large fish.

Super duralumin MC tough digital gear

Super duralumin MC tough digital gear

The MC (machine cut) Tough Digigear is made of ultra-super duralumin, and is made by cold forging high-strength material and then cutting with high precision to create the ideal gear. The four SF size items have a special surface treatment that increases the surface hardness of the gear to reduce the adverse effects caused by sudden force.

MAGSEALED LINE ROLLER

MAGSEALED LINE ROLLER

The line roller is the part that receives the water and sand that the line picks up directly. By increasing the waterproofness of the line roller under these harsh conditions, it helps maintain the initial performance such as rotation feeling and sensitivity. In addition, the amount of salt and foreign matter that gets caught is greatly reduced, and the rotation is improved, which also improves the effect of reducing line twisting.

Daiwa manual bail return

Manual bail return

In order to completely prevent the bail from flipping back when casting and to improve durability, a manual return mechanism is used that prevents the bail from flipping back when the handle is turned.
