23 Lexa LT key features:

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

AIRDRIVE ROTOR

Low inertia is the key. The newly developed AIRDRIVE ROTOR is made from ZAION. Maintaining the strength of the rotor, DAIWA has been able to reduce the weight significantly. Designed with focus to create a perfectly round structure, trouble free and flawless rotation have been achieved. The rotor unit itself has seen a 16% weight reduction compared to the previous model (Based on 2500 size reel) and will set the standard for what future rotor design of small spinning reels will be.

AIRDRIVE BAIL

AIRDRIVE BAIL

Trouble free future. DAIWA has constructed a bail smaller in diameter whilst providing required strength to achieve a further weight reduction to the front unit. In comparison to 18 EXIST, AIRDRIVE BAIL reduces the weight of the bail by 33% (compared to 2500 size). DAIWA has adjusted the angle of bail setting to improve the line movement into the roller. Careful attention was given to the roller and slider and individual design alterations were done for each size of 22 EXIST, perfectly adjusting the line management for each size of the reel.

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

AIRDRIVE SPOOL

Design reflects the future. The stand out features of the AIRDRIVE SPOOL would have to be the newly shaped spool skirt and the simple single silver coloured cosmetic. Just by looking at the spool it is clear the structure has been redeveloped, reducing the weight and maximising the feeling of presence. Reducing the spool weight creates many benefits for a reel; the total weight of reel is reduced, oscillation is improved, less resistance during winding and rotation, better balance when attached to the rod and of course the reel feels light and easy to fish.

CRBB

CRBB

Shielded for extra protection. Unlike ordinary "corrosion resistant" bearings with un unprotected open race, DAIWA's CRBB ball bearings are shielded to seal out sand, fine grit, salt crystals and other abrasives for even longer life. CRBB ball bearings feature an 12 times higher corrosion resistance than usual ball bearings.

MAGSEALED

MAGSEALED

DAIWA's unique waterproof structure creates a wall of magnetic oil in the gap between the body and rotor, blocking out seawater, dust, and other elements.

ZAION V

ZAION V

The new super composite material developed by Daiwa to further improve the performance of Light & Tough reels: it is as light as its "big brother" Zaion and much stiffer and more resistant to stress than DS5 and DS4 materials. The mechanical properties of the Zaion V allow to create bodies and rotors of lighter weight than the DS5 and DS4 materials: the internal mechanics can therefore work better, guarantee greater fluidity and greater resistance to fatigue, resulting in lighter and more performing reels. . But that is not all! Zaion V is a composite based on carbon fibers therefore totally insensitive to corrosion, even when used in salt water.

TOUGH DIGIGEAR

TOUGH DIGIGEAR

Gears are the real beating heart of a reel: the transfer of power and the performance of the recovery action depend on them. For this reason Daiwa has invested great energy in the design and development of new gears that are even more effective, efficient and long lasting: the Tough Digigear. Developed starting from the famous Daiwa Digigear, they equip all the best reels of the latest generation: increased in size and improved in materials, they guarantee superior mechanical performance, greater reliability and durability.

ATD TYPE-L

ATD TYPE-L

The ATD TYPE-L has improved initial response. It pursues smooth start and tracking, allowing you to concentrate on the fight without worrying about the drag setting.

LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)

LC-ABS (Long Cast ABS)

Compared to conventional spools, the LC-ABS Spool design has been shown to increase the average flight distance by approx. 5% due to its reduced weight and modified shape. LC-ABS Spool design grants anglers a premium casting experience.

Perfect Line Stopper

Perfect Line Stopper

A new shape of line stopper that is compatible with thin lines such as PE and thick lines such as leaders. The horizontal shape saves vertical space and contributes to reducing the weight of the spool.

TWIST BUSTER II

TWIST BUSTER II

DAIWA´s original advanced technology designed to reduce line twist during retrieving. An essential reason for line twist has been eliminated with this smart idea. the Twist Buster 2 line roller not only minimises line twist, but also reduces further friction between the line and the roller.

INFINITE ANTI-REVERSE

INFINITE ANTI-REVERSE

The new Infinite Anti Reverse system is activated with 4 times less force than a classic system. Less than 2g is needed to engage the Real Stopper system which eliminates any handle movement brings sensitivity to the next level.
